NO SHADE

I'm starting a new party at Holocene in Portland. It's going to be very gay.
It will sound like this:
No Shade Mini Mix by No Shade

The Liberation Riddim is one of my favorite riddims ever. I have the whole thing on vinyl and when I want to feel like a real dancehall DJ I pull it out. It's AMAZING. Enjoy this short mix of my favorite selections from the collection.

When Gyptian released Hold Yuh at the end of last year, it seemed like everyone was freaking out. The production, fuzzy and imperfect, complemented the vocal beautifully, creating a perfect slow wine track. Now a riddim, the vibe is for sure going to get someone pregnant. I even wanna have some sexy time with it.

HOLD YUH RIDDIM (LIFEPARTNER MIX)
JUST YOU & I - RICKY BLAZE
HOLD YUH - GYPTIAN
ME HOLD YUH - LADY SAW
GANJA HOLD YUH - ZIANOMI
HOLD ME - SHANI

This complete fire storm of a carnival soca riddim conjures up some fierce hard wine imagery for me. Coming in at a sexy 118 bpm, the track catches some hot riddim realness but is still easily digestible to those not use to wiling out to these rhythm structures.

PICTURE FRAME RIDDIM (LIFEPARTNER MIX)
Yes - Umi Marcano
Picture Frame Gyal - Ms Alysha
No Fight - Lyon I
Tic Toc - Larynx Merit

I tried to get over my obsession with this stuff, but couldn't.

PM(mix no. 2)

My friend Justin Gorman asked me to make an exclusive mix for his new design, arts and culture blog Paper Make Stack. He asked to kind roll with a theme, so I chose to look at the evolution of UK garage/2-step beat and rhythm patters. I took tracks from some of favorite producers from back in the day and meshed them with my favorites in the game right now. The result is a fluid mix that travels though 2-step, bassline, funky and future bass.
